Whakatāne District Council recently engaged Ibis Information Services to provide staff training in the Ibis Rate Modelling software over a four day period. Ibis put a lot of effort into ensuring that our IT systems were correctly configured for the Ibis software following the installation of a data ware house at Whakatāne District Council. I was impressed with the collaborative approach that Ibis was able to foster with our own ICT and GIS teams, their technical expertise around integration issues was quite remarkable. This ensured that everything was ready when the trainer turned up without any annoying on- site delays.
The trainer was very well prepared and used a variety of techniques to ensure that all users were fully conversant with the rates modelling software by the end of the course. As an added bonus enhancements were made to the software over the training period (eg GIS integration) that ensured we had the best possible platform to work with over the coming months. I cannot over emphasise how professional the whole experience was for Council staff attending the training. Highly recommended.
