Ibis again this year sponsored the NSW Revenue Professionals 20th annual conference event at Coffs Harbour. There was interest from councils in Rates & Water Modelling as a focus area – in particular, predicting future impacts on different ratepayers of rates and other policy changes. Richard Noble from the Ibis team was present to answer questions and followup interested councils. Read more
With the ability to model these decisions and their effects “on the hoof” the Councillors felt comfortable in being able to make alternative funding decisions like moving a particular targeted rate from land value to capital value or spreading the rate over more ratepayers.
There are now six NZ Councils that have implemented, or are currently implementing the new functionality. The feedback received from the clients that have implemented the additional “Funding Policy Network and advanced/comparative model reporting”
The new SQL based IBIS Rate Modelling version 12 ensures we have no limit to the number of assessments and charge mix.
